Therapy for anxiety and stress in Copenhagen

If your mind won't stop, you constantly anticipate what could happen and you struggle to switch off even when everything seems fine, therapy can help you understand what is going on and practise tools to regain your calm. I work in Spanish and English, online or in person in Copenhagen.

Identifying the pattern

Signs that anxiety or stress are taking up too much space

Racing mind

Difficulty switching off

Tension in the body

A racing mind that anticipates everything that could go wrong and finds no rest.

Difficulty switching off or resting, even in calm and safe moments.

Constant physical tension, accumulated tiredness or recurring trouble sleeping.

Irritability at the limit

Avoiding situations

Feeling always at the limit of your patience or with your defences down.

Avoiding commitments or everyday situations out of anticipated fear of how you will feel.

Methodology

How therapy can help you

In therapy we explore which thoughts, situations and habits feed anxiety and stress. With tools from cognitive-behavioural therapy we identify the thoughts that trap you. With mindfulness practices you learn to come back to the present when everything feels heavy. And from a humanistic approach we work at your pace and without judgement. My aim is for you to take concrete tools away from each session and be able to apply them in your real life.

Cognitive-behavioural therapy

Mindfulness practices

Humanistic approach

Identifying cognitive distortions and automatic thought patterns to regain perspective.

Somatic grounding techniques and nervous system regulation to return to the present moment.

An empathetic, judgement-free space where we work at your own pace to build autonomy.

International context

Anxiety and stress when you live in another country

Living in another language, far from your people and your points of reference, can increase the load. I have been through it too, and that experience shapes the way I support you. If you also miss your country or feel you don't quite fit in, you can read about migration grief.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

Can therapy help me with anxiety?

How do I know whether it is anxiety or stress?

Many people find tools in therapy to understand and manage their anxiety. I cannot promise specific results, because every process is different, but we work with clear goals and review your progress together.

There is no fixed length. Some processes last a few weeks and others are longer-term support, always adapted to your needs and pace.

Can I do therapy online?

Can I do it in English?

How many sessions will I need?

Yes. Online sessions take place on Google Meet, with nothing to install, with complete privacy and comfort from your own space.

Yes. Sessions are in Spanish or English, whichever you prefer or feel more comfortable expressing yourself in.

Stress usually appears as a response to a specific situation or an overload, while anxiety can continue even when there is no clear cause. Both can cause restlessness, tension and difficulty resting. If these sensations persist or affect your day-to-day life, therapy can help you understand what is happening and find tools.

How to get started

You can see the session formats and rates and book in the Therapy section. Sessions are in Spanish or English, online or in person in Copenhagen.
