How I work
When a couple or a family brings together different cultures, languages and customs, friction often appears: how holidays are celebrated, how certain topics are discussed, what is expected of each person or what role relatives play. It doesn't mean something is wrong: these are differences worth putting into words. In therapy I help you understand them, listen to the other person and find agreements that work for you.
I work from an integrative approach: I combine tools from cognitive-behavioural therapy, a humanistic approach that puts your experience and your pace at the centre, and mindfulness practices. We work to identify patterns that repeat in your relationships, learn to set boundaries and express your needs in a healthy way.
